Practice Fees 
Our standard appointment time is 15 minutes (not 10 minutes).  
As you may have noticed, our practice uses  A-I system which allows our doctor to deliver the very best of care and focus on a holistic approach, prioritizing patient needs and preferences. This includes providing comprehensive care, utilizing evidence-based practices, and continually striving for improvements in quality and safety.

Standard consults: Total cost: $85, Rebate $42.85, Gap fee $42.15 (out of pocket)
Long consults: Total cost: $140, Rebate $82.90, Gap fee $57.10 (out of pocket)
Prolonged consults: Total cost: $180, Rebate $122.15, Gap fee $57.85 (out of pocket)

 
 
We offer bulk billing only for Standard consults for kids under 16, Health care or Concession card holders. 

 

Telehealth – Total cost: $90, Medicare $42.85, Gap fee $47.15

 

We do not offer bulk billing for all patients, including kids under 16, health care, or concession card holders. Please call us to make an appointment.

Fees Explained

What is Bulk billing?
Bulk billing means that the patient is paid directly by Medicare on behalf of the patient.
What is a private billing clinic? 
A private billing clinic, often called a mixed billing clinic, means patients pay the full consultation fee upfront, but they can then claim a rebate from Medicare if they have a Medicare card. This results in an out-of-pocket (or Gap fee)expense for the patient, the difference between the full fee and the Medicare rebate. 
 Do we bulk bill?
Some services are bulk billed, including childhood immunisations, chronic disease care plans, and government-funded health assessments.
 
 
Why would I choose to pay a private fee rather than go to a bulk billing clinic?
 
– Private billing doctors tend to have a more stable pool of repeat patients.
 
– Private billing doctors can develop good personal relationships during consultation and gain a better idea of the patient’s medical history, diagnosis, and treatment.
 
– Private billing clinics often have a lower daily patient intake and can spend more time on patients’ health issues.
 
 – Bulk-billing doctors have to get patients in and out the door quickly. As a result, it is hard for them to focus on the patient’s complex health issues.
 
– With the pressure to get patients in and out the door quickly alleviated, this allows privately billing doctors to spend longer with each patient and provided a higher quality of care.
 
 Why accept cash payment? 

During the COVID pandemic, the decision was made not to accept cash payments. Please note, we do not keep cash on the premises.

For patients with language difficulties a telephone translator service can be arrange on 131 450.

 Non-attendance, Late Cancellation Policy

We understand that things pop up, and you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. However, we do ask that you cancel your unwanted booking at least 4 business hours before so that we can find someone as quickly as possible.

 “Business hours” specifically excludes times outside of the typical workday, such as evening (after-hours) and weekends. 

If you fail to notify us within 4 business hours, there is a fee of $90 for a standard appointment or $120 for a long appointment. You need to call us and pay the fee over the phone or in person. 

We do not accept any excuses or explanations. We are unwilling to tolerate any attempts to explain or excuse a particular situation, because you have a wide variety of options to choose from to cancel your booking.
